Presented March 14, 2003 at the MACUL Conference.
BCISD Press Release:
Congratulations to Janine Lim, Instructional Technology Consultant, who recently received the TWICE President's Award for "Outstanding Contributions to the Distance Learning Community in the State of Michigan and throughout the United States." TWICE is a group of Michigan educators and technicians dedicated to promoting and supporting collaborative connections using two-way interactive video for the benefit of students. The award was given to Janine for her many contributions in the field of distance learning including the creation of projects such as Read Across America and MysteryQuest, the development of a national field trip database, maintenance of the TWICE website (http://www.twice.cc), and for her willingness to do demonstration sessions for educators in Michigan and throughout the U.S. who want to know how distance learning can be used effectively in the classroom.

A complete surprise to us both; Arnie Comer, TWICE President, presents the award to Sue Porter, Distance Learning Coordinator, Kent ISD, Grand Rapids, and myself.

We were both amazed to receive this award.

Sue and I with our awards. Arnie calls us "the founding mothers of TWICE."

My superindent's comment was: "Very impressive. I guess they're just finding out what we've known here for a long time - you are very talented and we appreciate your contribution to the kids of the county."
