- Read Tales from the Electronic Frontier What can you learn from other teachers' experiences?
Internet Research
- Visit Kathy Schrock's Critical Evaluation Surveys or Evaluating Educational Web Sites, or Evaluating Internet Based Information, some sites with questions to ask when evaluating a web site. What do you think of the questions to ask? How can you apply this in your teaching?
- Read the following articles about Research. Networking for Daily Research, 500 Miles: The Year Long Research Project, or Other Research Articles. Do you agree with these suggestions? How would you apply them?
- Read these articles on questions: Essential Questions and The Question is the Answer. What do you think of it? How can you apply it, or how are you already doing this in your classroom?
General Computer Use
- Read this One Computer Classroom Article That's Not a Drinking Fountain. What do you think? How can you apply this?
- Can the computer help your classroom management? Visit this page from Tammy's Technology Tips for Teachers.
- How will using the computer affect discipline in your classroom? Tips for Using the Internet addresses some management issues. What do you think? Helpful? Can you think of more to add?
- Visit this page school reform: EdWeb: Exploring Technology and School Reform. Pick an article or two to read. Do you agree? Do you see any parallels in your school? What would help you change your instruction to integrate technology?
- Barriers to New Technology See the Stages of Mastery of Technology toward the end. Where do you fit in this area? What would help you deal with management/discipline problems you have? Also note the table of teacher types (sensor-thinker, etc.). How can you use technology to fit your style? How can you use technology to stretch your style to include other kinds of learning experiences?
- Read ISTE and NCATE's standards for technology in teacher preparation. How do you think teachers can reach these standards?
- Read this article about Using Technology to Enhance Engaged Learning for At-Risk Students. Do you have students like this in your classroom? Do you think this would work for them? How can you apply what you read/learned?
Integrating Technology into the Curriculum
- Visit New Horizons for Learning and check out all the educational information! Especially look at Technology and Learning.
- Visit the Technology Curriculum Integration Ideas page and look for multimedia ideas for your grade level/subject area. Can you think of any more? Do you have any concerns or questions about this type of classroom activity/learning experience?
- Read Beyond Clipart and TemplateArt, TemplateThinking, MultiMediocracy and Other TomFoolery. How does this change your thinking about using graphics and pictures in student work? Do you agree? How can you apply the ideas and principles suggested?

- Learn about ScreenSaver Disease. How do you currently teach technology? How does it compare to this article? How can you apply what you read?
