Tell me a story about this.
In the land of Uz there lived a man whose name was Job. This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil (Job 1:1, NIV). Satan challenged God that Job served God because of the blessings God gave him. So God allowed Satan to afflict Job with loss of property, loved ones, possessions, and even his health. Yet Job said, "Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him." (Job 13:15, KJV).
Job knew God. He knew the blessings God had given him, and even in adversity he would not give up his trust in God. The story of Job shows that a righteous man will serve God because it's the right thing to do regardless of suffering.
I'm suffering like this and I need encouragement.
I want to have faith like Job's.
