Where did sin come from?

     Sin became a part of human existence when Adam and Eve ate of the fruit God prohibited. (Genesis 3) For example, in James 1:14-15, we read "Each one is tempted when by his own evil desire he is dragged away and enticed. Then after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full grown, gives birth to death." NIV

     Therefore, sin entered the world through Adam and Eve's choice to go contrary to God's wishes for them. And the moment sin entered the world, Adam and Eve were afraid of God and became self-centered. (Genesis 3:8-10)

Is it really all Adam's fault?
But why should anyone trust God?
