I still don't understand why good people suffer so much.

When, through faith, we accept what God has done in Christ to save us from the results of sin, we enter the kingdom of God. "He has delivered us from the dominion of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son." (Colossians 1:13, RSV). "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." (1 Peter 2:9, NIV)

When we enter into Christ's kingdom, Satan intensifies his efforts to create suffering in order that we might be discouraged and give up. In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. (2 Tim. 3:12, NIV) Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. (1 Peter 5:8, NIV).

How can a person relate to suffering like this?
