How do I have God as my forever friend?
God
loves you more than you can possibly imagine. "For God so loved the
world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should
not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16. You may have lived
in error, thinking that God was your Enemy, hating you and dooming you to
hell. But Jesus has brought you the "Good News" that, because of
His work for your salvation, you are loved and accepted by God. Your salvation
is all done, finished and perfect. (John 19:30; Eph. 1:3-6). God simply gives
it to you as a 
free
gift in Christ Jesus as your Savior.
It is yours! It belongs to you! You can accept your gift by believing what God has done for you and yielding yourself in gratitude to Him who loves you. Thus, you take hold of God's mercy and grace and you begin depending on Jesus as your personal Savior from sin. God's gift of life is yours.
